The Turner Counter Stool

Beautifully crafted in solid English ash with a natural oiled finish, the Turner Stool is a versatile, contemporary counter stool. Locally made using traditional joinery techniques, it is slim and elegant as well as incredibly serviceable. It is both small enough to tuck into a corner whist its chic design makes it a kitchen showpiece. With an individually upholstered, naturally soft, button seat for comfort, the simplicity of the shape is designed to complement any kitchen interior.

The James Bar Stool

James, our luxury bar stool with its naturally soft seat for comfort, has clean crisp lines giving a contemporary twist to a classic shape. Crafted in sustainably sourced kiln dried beech it has a solid back for support and comfort.

The generously proportioned seat is individually upholstered in natural materials for supreme comfort. Sleek and understated, the James has a timeless simple elegance to grace any kitchen island or bar and fits easily with any style of interior.

Our specialist finishing shop will paint the frame any colour of the rainbow whilst our selected designer fabrics from Kit Kemp, Korla, Christian Lacroix, and others, create a spectacular range of bespoke breakfast bar and island stools designed to add a splash of luxurious style to any home.

Seat Height

Seat height is probably one of the most important factors when choosing a bar stool. To be comfortable, there needs to be enough room for your legs to go under the bar or worktop, so that it is like sitting at a table. We think 20cms of leg room is ideal. Generally, kitchen worktops, islands and breakfast bars have a height of 90cm from the floor to the underside. Ideally the seat height for a bar stool should be 70cm. This will give you 20cm for your legs and will be comfortable to sit at.

Crucially always measure from the underside not the top of your bar or island to the floor to obtain the correct measurement. See our bar stool buying guide for more information.

Commercial bars are generally taller than kitchen bars and stand at around 110cm. Correspondingly, the seat height for a commercial bar stool is 75cm. To ensure you have the perfect fit we will set the height of the James bar stool to any height between 70 -75cms.

Simply write the seat height in the comments box at checkout. Or if you would like to discuss the options for seat heights why not call us on 07957 137807 or email
